Service Opportunities at Prestoncrest
Discover your purpose and find fulfillment in a place of service. Service is an integral part of our church family!
Children & Youth Ministries
We strive to care for children and teens, physically and spiritually, from the time they are born, until they graduate from High School. Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing place for them to grow, mature, and develop a personal relationship with Jesus. (Please NOTE! We practice safety first for all volunteers in this area. Each must pass a background check before volunteering.)

Our senior adults enjoy activities from time to time during the year. Also, some of them may have one-time needs for assistance due to disabilities or advanced age. Volunteer opportunities include working with ministry leaders to coordinate events and/or meeting specific one-time needs.
Singles of all ages at Prestoncrest enjoy activities, small groups, and lots of fun and fellowship each week. Volunteer opportunities include working with our Young Adult and Singles 35+ Ministers and group leaders to help coordinate events and/or meet needs.

This group also enjoys activities during the year, and volunteers that can help coordinate events for them is always welcomed.
New Members: Welcome and Followup
Volunteers in this ministry help our newest members find a Bible Class and/or a Small Group that fits them best. They introducing them to others at Prestoncrest, and help them identify opportunities to make new friends. Volunteers are encouraged to attend all the PC101 classes to get to know our newest members.
These areas of service are primarily done on Sunday mornings during, before, or after worship service. Some are jobs that can be done to help with preparation for Sunday. All are wonderful ways to help bring praise to God during our time together as a church family!
Helping with Baptisms
The baptismal assistance ministry supports the baptismal process. Activities range from unlocking and maintaining the preparation rooms to providing guidance and assistance when needed for the actual baptism.
Open a door and be a friendly face! Greeters are needed at each entrance of the church building each Sunday. Shifts are for either the 8:30 am service or the 10:45 am service. Easy, fun, and rewarding!
Our Attendance Counting ministry ensures that we have accurate records of attendance at Worship Service each Sunday, and at other major functions from time to time, when available.
The homebound communion ministry ensures that all homebound church members are able to share in the communion meal each week and is coordinated through our Bible Classes.
This is the go-to place where visitors and new members come to find out more about Prestoncrest. Volunteers provide information about Bible classes, room locations, general information, brochures, and give out gifts to first-time visitors.
Ushers serve on Sunday mornings by handing out bulletins, collecting communion & contribution trays, and making sure members and guests feel welcome with an open door and smiling face. They also help latecomers find a seat, when needed.
