What We Believe: Simple Christianity

The Prestoncrest Church of Christ is a vibrant family of God in North Dallas. We are a community of faith committed to being part of the movement of God in our community and around the world. We are a place that strives to be open to all people because we believe that every individual is precious to the Lord!

We ground our core beliefs in Jesus and in His Message found in Scripture inspired by God. Simple Christianity: the Bible, God, Jesus, salvation, baptism... it's simple.

Bible Study 1

The Bible

We ground our beliefs on the Bible which we believe to be the inspired Word of God.

2 Timothy 3:16

God

We worship the God revealed in the Bible - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Matthew 28:19

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lived in complete obedience to His Father and offered up His life to pay the price for the sins of all people. Luke 19:10 says, "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

Acts 4:12

Salvation

We are saved by the grace of God and there is nothing we can do to earn our salvation. Forgiveness and the promise of eternal life are available to all who receive Christ as Savior and Lord, believing in his name. Those willing to receive Christ must repent of sin, confess their faith and be baptized into him for forgiveness of their sins.

John 3:16

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation and provides them with understanding of spiritual truth, strength, and guidance for what pleases God. "Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." ~ Acts 2:38

Ephesians 1:13-14

The Church

Jesus established the Church so that His people might worship together, spread His message of hope, and encourage each other.

Ephesians 4:11-13

Human Destiny

Every person is destined to experience death, a resurrection from death, and divine judgment.

Hebrews 9:27-28
