Ghana Outreach in West Africa: Yendi, Saboba, & Beyond
Ghana Missions officially began in 2010 to partner with evangelists to spread the Good News of Jesus. As of 2024, a total of 3400+ baptisms and 100+ congregations have spread throughout Northern Ghana (church attendance approaching 6000). Two primary congregations in Yendi and Saboba have lead evangelists that coordinate the work in this predominantly Muslim part of Ghana.
The local evangelists receive training through several different sources: Heritage Christian University College (HCUC) in Accra, 10 Heritage Bible Institutes spread throughout the country under HCUC management, the Tamale Bible Institute located in Tamale, and Timothy Student training sessions offered periodically at various locations.
The Yendi evangelists work under the oversight of the Nsawam Road Church of Christ in Accra, Ghana and the work is partially supported by Prestoncrest, Ghana West African Missions (GWAM), and the Westover Hills Church of Christ in Austin, Texas.

MISSION TRIPS to GHANA: Prestoncrest members, elders, deacons, and staff travel to various locations during the year, when they are able, to encourage and support various missionaries in the field. Many of our missionaries and mission efforts are greatly encouraged by these visits, and the blessings abound for everyone. To find out more about these trips and how you can help personally encourage one of our missionaries, email missions@prestoncrest.org.
