Tools to Create a Daily Quiet time
Dr. Stephen Olford, Christian writer and leader (Mar 1918 – Aug 2004), has helped thousands to begin a daily Quiet Time habit with a few simple suggestions.
- Establish a definite place and time.
- Have a good-sized Bible, whose print you do not have a strain to read.
- Begin a prayer list or prayer cycle to work through each day of the week.
- Have what Olford calls a quiet time notebook to capture the thoughts of each quiet time session, even if only in brief sentence form. They will be thoughts you will never find in a commentary, thoughts worth keeping.
