Michael Elrod lives in Red Oak, Texas… he was the lead minister at the church in Ovilla for 36 years, before retiring in October of 2025. Before preaching for the Ovilla congregation he preached for the church in Elk City, Oklahoma, and Clayton, NM. He graduated from Lubbock Christian University in 1978, and trained for ministry at the Sunset church in Lubbock from 1977-1979. Michael’s family: Caleb and Genevieve Elrod, and grandsons Ethan and Carter…. and Noah and Tracee Elrod. Both sons and their families live in the Metroplex. His family is his heart! He does mission work in Romania, and has done so for the last 32 years.
