Preserved: The Story of the New Testament
How was the New Testament preserved from the original writings to what we read today? How do we know this is really the Bible they wrote?
This 4-week special series being held at Prestoncrest, and brought by the Center for the Study of New Testament Manuscripts (CSNTM), offers a strong, evidence-based foundation by showing the remarkable preservation of the New Testament. The evidence is overwhelming. It will turn lingering questions into bold confidence and foster a deeper awe of the God who has so faithfully preserved His Word.

Children’s classes will be available (RSVP for childcare) , and the final night (October 4) includes dinner for everyone (RSVP for dinner). Note: for the 3 Sept evenings, parents can send snacks or a simple dinner for their children.
Week 1 – Sept 13
- 5:00–5:50 PM: “The Autographs” – The origins of the New Testament and the nature of its earliest writings.
- 6:00–6:50 PM: “The Canon” – How the 27 books were recognized and established as authoritative.
Week 2 – Sept 20
- 5:00–5:50 PM: “The Manuscripts” – The thousands of copies that have preserved the text through centuries.
- 6:00–6:50 PM: “The Manuscript Contents” – What the Greek manuscripts actually contain and how faithfully they transmit the text.
Week 3 – Sept 27
- 5:00–5:50 PM: “The Scribes” – The meticulous work of the men who copied the New Testament by hand for centuries.
- 6:00–6:50 PM: “Textual Criticism” – How scholars evaluate variants and reconstruct the original text with astonishing accuracy.
Week 4 – Oct 4
- 5:00–5:50 PM: “The Translations” – From ancient manuscripts to the modern versions we read today.
- 6:00–7:00 PM: Extended Q&A with the CSNTM team & dinner (church-provided) ~ RSVP required
Remember, RSVP is required for each week’s childcare (nursery – 6th grade). If you will be able to join us on the final evening, be sure to RSVP for dinner, as well!
