Adult Education & Pastoral Care
Robert graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with B.A. and M.A. degrees in Preaching and Ministry. Robert began his ministry serving the Ridgecrest Church of Christ in Midwest City, Oklahoma before serving the Gemeinde Christi in Dresden, Germany sponsored by the Prestoncrest Church of Christ. Robert and his family moved to Dallas after serving in Germany to serve Prestoncrest in Adult Education.
The Adult Education ministry at Prestoncrest has been strong for decades. Currently, 92% of our members are enrolled in a Bible class. Adult Education is facilitated by an army of servant leaders. In addition to our executive leadership, we have 70 class leaders, over 80 teachers and task leaders too numerous to count.
The Pastoral Care ministry includes caring for many who are in need of encouragement inside and outside of our congregation. As with all of our ministers, Robert is very active reaching out to members and non-members alike.
Robert has served for the past 15 years as a seminar director for Prepare-Enrich and has trained/certified hundreds of ministers, chaplains and mental health professionals to use the Prepare-Enrich couples assessment. He also has provided seminars on Uniquely You, a spiritual gifts assessment that is integrated with the DiSC personality assessment to assist individuals and churches in finding the right place of service in the kingdom of God.
Robert continues to have a special place in his heart for German missions having helped plant a church in Dresden, Germany. He also actively supporting the work in Ghana West Africa and other places around the world.
The life and work of a minister is all consuming. When Robert finds a quiet place to get some rest, you will likely find him with his children and grandchildren. Robert says there’s no better place to be than with family.
