ServeSTRONG is a summer “work camp” for middle school students designed to involve Prestoncrest’s teens in their community. Mornings and afternoons are spent serving at various organizations, which usually includes North Texas Food Bank, Christian Care Center, City Square, and others. Evenings are spent together doing fun activities and building relationships among the group. By serving their community and building relationships with each other, these students grow in their appreciation of their daily blessings while lighting a fire for acts of service in the world around them as they develop an appreciation for Christian community.

2018 Information

Dates: June 18-21, 2018

Signup Deadline: June 3, 2018 ~ (Signup link coming soon!)

  • Grades: Current-year 6th, 7th, & 8th graders (entering 7th, 8th, and 9th in the Fall of 2018)
  • Cost: $85
  • Includes: ServeStrong shirt, all meals, & fun activities throughout the week (i.e. TNT)
  • Lodging: Teens will be sleeping in area PC member homes (guys & gals stay in separate locations)
  • Projects: Still being determined, but our usual partners are organizations such as City Square, North Texas Food Bank, & Christian Care Center.

Typical Schedule:

Note: each day changes depending on where we are serving but usually looks like the following…

  • Breakfast in host homes
  • Off to The Zone to get sack lunches ready & prep for the day
  • Morning service project
  • Lunch
  • Afternoon service project
  • Processing and prayer time
  • Clean up at host homes
  • Go out for dinner and activities
  • Back to host homes for unwinding and sleep
