Children’s Ministry Reopening Plan

RSVP Required. Reserve your space in KidsLife HERE!

We are so excited to be opening Sunday morning Children’s Ministry once again! Nursery childcare and Backyard and Clubhouse Children’s Worship has been open since October 4. It has been such a blessing to see some of our KidsLife kids and families! On October 25, we will resume children’s Bible classes. Space is limited, so RSVP is required by Thursday at 1 pm each week.

To help keep your children, families and volunteers safe, we have a few precautions in place and new processes for drop-off, pick-up and classroom activities.

Nursery Drop-Off & Pick-Up

  • The Garden (our NEW Nursery) will be open for both worship services and class time.
  • If you have RSVP’d and completed the health screening form, you may drop off when you like and pick up at the end of worship service or class time.
  • Children in the nursery will not be required to wear a face covering.

Backyard & Clubhouse Drop-Off & Pick-Up

  • Drop-off and pick-up for Backyard and Clubhouse kids will all take place through the glass doors and up the ramp to the Children’s Ministry wing.
  • Stop at the check-in table to get your security tags. A volunteer will take your children to The Backyard or The Clubhouse.
  • Parents will not be allowed in the Children’s Ministry wing.
  • Pick-up your children after worship services or classes at the check-in table. A volunteer will bring your children to you.
  • Please maintain social distancing using the markers on the carpet. Once children are in their classrooms, masks are optional.

Attic Kids

  • Attic kids should go up the center or south staircases to Attic large group in Room 223. Signs will be placed to help them navigate.
  • Attic kids must wear a mask or face-covering.
  • After Attic small group class time, kids should return downstairs by the center or south side staircases.
  • Attic kids will not be allowed in the Backyard and Clubhouse children’s ministry areas of the building.
  • If an Attic kids is picking up a sibling, they must come to the check-in table and present a security tag for their sibling.

Safety Measures

Health Screening

Parents are required to complete a health screening form for each child before they are allowed to enter KidsLife. Screening forms will be e-mailed and texted to parents of children who have RSVP’d for KidsLife on Saturday evening before Sunday services.

If you or someone in your family feels ill, DO NOT COME!

Social Distancing

Maintain a distance of 6 ft. apart from those not in your family as much as possible. Modified seating arrangements are in place. Each classroom has been set up with spaced tables and space dividers.

Face Coverings

  • Face coverings are required for adults and children ages 3rd through 6th grades.
  • Once children are in their classrooms, face coverings are optional for children ages 2 through 2nd grade.
  • Nursery children are not required to wear a face covering.

  • Sanitizer is available throughout KidsLife. Children will be encouraged to use sanitizer upon entrance and to wash their hands with soap and water as needed.
  • Before, during and after services, we will sanitize tables, seats and anything that unavoidably comes in contact with multiple people.
  • Each child will get their own set of craft supplies and lesson materials as needed. Any that must be shared will be sanitized first.
  • Toys will be limited to the nursery, and will be cleaned often.
  • Water fountains are closed.
