Get to know Jacob

Jacob is a Dallas native, having grown up at the Waterview Church of Christ in Richardson and is an alumni of JJ Pearce High School. He holds his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Bible and Religion from Harding.

Jacob served over 10 years as a preaching minister for churches in Llano, Kerrville, and Wichita Falls, and he speaks at seminars and lectureships around the country. He has a burning passion to preach the gospel which was first discovered at the age of 9 years old when he delivered his first sermon. He is the author of 4 books: Image of the Invisible God, The Hawk’s Nest: 90 Lessons for Faith and Family, When Mountains Won’t Move - How to Survive a Struggling Faith, and Blinded by Darkness. He has also co-authored 2 books on preaching: Fit for the Pulpit and Preach Better, and has written for the Gospel Advocate.

Most importantly, Jacob is the proud father of 3 precious boys, Hayden, Hudson, and Hewitt. When he’s not spending time with his boys or speaking, Jacob loves to play golf.

Prestoncrest is excited about adding Jacob Hawk to the staff, and looks forward to the direction God takes this minisry under his leadership.
