FORSAKEN
Matthew 27.45-47
John 12.24 (NLT) I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives.
Matthew 27.45-46 (ESV) Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour. And about the ninth hour (3pm) Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
2 Corinthians 5.21 (ESV) For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
The Psalmist in Psalm 22 imagined. . . All who see me mock me . . . “He trusts in the Lord; let him deliver him; let him rescue him, for he delights in him!” vs. 7-8
The Psalmist imagined it, Jesus LIVED IT. According to Matthew, those around the Cross jeered Jesus saying. . . . . He trusts in God; let God deliver him now, if he desires him. Mathew 27.43
Psalm 22 imagines. . . Everyone who sees me mocks me. They sneer and shake their heads. . . vs. 7 (NLT)
Jesus LIVED it out. Matthew 27. People passing by shouted abuse, shaking their heads in mockery. Matthew 27.29 (NLT)
Psalm 22. My life is poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. vs. 14 (NLT)
At the Cross. . . John 19. One of the soldiers. . .pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water flowed out. John 19.34 (NLT)

Psalm 22 imagined. They divide my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots. vs. 18
