*Note: All registration is first-come, first-served to the first 500 who register and must be done in person at the church building at Prestoncrest ~ 6022 Preston Crest Lane, Dallas, Tx 75230

Giveaway Day: Saturday, August 5, 2017 • 9 am - 12 Noon**

**Note: Registration on March 28 is required to receive supplies in August.

Packs & Pencils is one of Prestoncrest's annual community events that reaches out to assist families in need by providing backpacks and school supplies. Each year, 500 children in grades K-6th grade, have a chance to register in March and then join us in August to receive school supplies at a fun morning event at Prestoncrest.

Volunteers are needed each year to setup and organize supplies on Friday night from 6-9 pm before the Saturday "Giveaway Day." (On Saturday, Volunteers are needed from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm.) Friday setup is a family-friendly event and all ages are guaranteed have fun helping unpack boxes of supplies and assembling all the kits for Giveaway Day! Help is also needed on Giveaway Day to help distribute supplies to those registered from the community. Cash donations are collected at Prestoncrest in July each year through Prestoncrest's Connections Classes, or donations can be placed in the offering plate, mailed to the church, or dropped off at the church office. Each donation of $50 provides a child with supplies & a sturdy backpack.
